Virginia Tech is partnering with Effat University in Saudi Arabia to develop a world-class college preparation program. The Language and Culture Institute is helping to develop curricula, detail administrative procedures, and train faculty members at Effat.

Effat, located in the heart of the vibrant city of Jeddah, is a fully accredited nonprofit university that provides high-quality education at international standards. Operating under the umbrella of the King Faisal Foundation, the university offers rigorous graduate and undergraduate programs conducive to lifelong learning within four colleges: Science & Humanities, Engineering, Business, and Architecture and Design.
