Virginia Tech’s Pamplin College of Business offers programs in accounting and information systems, business information technology, finance, hospitality and tourism management, management, marketing management, and real estate management.

Marketing
At Pamplin College of Business, you will be taught by leading researchers as well as experienced professionals. Our undergraduate program in marketing management is designed to offer a broad business education with an emphasis on professional training for development of marketing strategies and managing marketing operations.
Management
This major prepares students to be effective managers capable of adding value in a range of organizations and business contexts in the global economy employing an entrepreneurial approach to business. We emphasize the development of versatile skills that are essential to achieve organizational goals: analytical problem-solving, communication skills, cross-functional thinking, leadership, ethical decision-making, and teamwork.
Hospitality and Tourism Management
Recently ranked No. 2 in the U.S. and No. 6 in the world*, our program focuses on the “business of hospitality and tourism.” Our students gain skills in finance, accounting, marketing, revenue management, business information technology, and social media. All students are required to engage in field study/internship activities, and we enjoy one of the highest placement rates on campus. Recruiters often brag to us about the way our graduates are ready to roll up their sleeves and get to work, confident and unafraid of challenges.

Program Requirements
In order to advance in the Business Pathway from semester to semester, all students must achieve a 2.5 or better grade-point average in their credit-bearing courses. Students must also maintain a minimum 70 percent in their English for Academic Purposes courses and University Success Seminars.
