Liberal Arts & Human Sciences Pathway

The College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences combines the expansive intellectual exploration of the liberal arts with the advanced technological resources of a leading university and the civic responsibility of a land-grant institution. The college’s nine academic departments and three schools offer 42 majors, 60 minors, 39 master’s programs, and 32 doctoral programs. The college proudly claims more than 600 faculty and staff members, 4,000 students, and 60,000 graduates.

The Kellogg Center for Philosophy, Politics, and Economics

The Kellogg Center for Philosophy, Politics, and Economics is a hub for cutting-edge interdisciplinary research and research-centered teaching in the humanities and social sciences. Through its interdisciplinary research, the center provides foundational analysis for global questions concerning market processes, government intervention, taxation, healthcare, sustainability, international relations, global trade, and justice.

Program Requirements

In order to advance in the Liberal Arts Pathway from semester to semester, all students must achieve a 3.0 or better grade-point average in their credit-bearing courses.  Students must also maintain a minimum 70 percent in their English for Academic Purposes courses and University Success Seminars.
